i’m almost positive this is my most watched movie of all time. i could teach a course on the nuances of this film’s commentary on female sexuality. i think it gets overlooked because the premise is… absurd, but at its core teeth is about a young woman attempting to navigate sex in a world where her family, school, and society have all failed her. while teeth is undoubtedly crude, cheesy, and at times genuinely stomach churning (not that any of those qualities necessarily detract from the movie’s charm), it’s also one of the most compelling “good for her” stories i’ve seen.
