This is a pretty enjoyable movie, but lost a star because MGK was in it.
Also, huge pet peeve when teen movies just use the top 10 songs of the week they made the movie. Really ruins it for me. Just lazy.
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I think this was a great documentary and the first majority of it was great. However, I hate how it ended by heavily insinuating that it’s Eddy’s dad’s fault that he killed himself. That if he had a different “nurture” he would have ended up better. While it’s very possible that that’s true, you still have to look at the fact that he is the child of a mentally ill mother, and he was separated from his brothers after he had time to build a bond with them.
It’s not the father’s fault he killed himself. If anything, it’s the researchers faults.
