Not sure how, but this actually worked for me. Two childhood best friends come to a turning point in their lives as one decides to leave his home and dream living in L.A. to become an actor to join his girlfriend in Canada to get married, leaving behind his best friend. A classic meta/Asian/gay/bromance/stoner coming of age film that works way better than it should.

A little bit THE LOBSTER and a little bit THE BEAST - but not quite as successful as either. Still, it's an entertaining exploration of the power of emotions, both positive and negative. I wish Joy could have found her Joy on her own... the ending felt a little... traditional.
