  Star Trek: Generations 1994

  It’s pretty boring. I don’t know what I expected. Every other Star Trek movie is meh or just bad (and I’m a Star Trek V defender). After Undiscovered Country, there’s no way Generations could be good even with TGN’s cast. Seeing Kirk just feels weird after all the OG cast members basically signed off at the end of VI. 

  Skip this and just go watch First Contact.

  Sonic the Hedgehog 2 2022

  Adding Knuckles and Tails was genius. Having Sonic play off someone other than James Marsden is awesome. Sonic 3 proves that in spades.

  The Brutalist 2024

  This is one of those films they don’t make like they used to. Literally. They resurrected Vistavision for this movie as well as putting in an intermission.

  So much has already been said so I won’t repeat the obvious statements about the direction or the acting. The score is what stood out to me. It is equal parts triumphant and tragic (much like the film itself). 

  This will be the great modern American epic.

  I hate body horror. It’s just not my thing. It’s not what I want to see.

  That being said this movie is incredible.
