Seen this film a million times. Still love it.
I honestly love how the film is basically just how Palpatine manipulates the Senate into making him Chancellor. It’s such an elaborate plot.
The set pieces are wonderful (Duel of the Fates and the Podrace in particular).
I know there was lots of talk about this film not having a real main character (it’s definitely an ensemble film). But on this rewatch I think the lead is Qui-Gon.
I also 100% feel this is a Christian film. Virgin Birth? A religious order that is celibate?
