Alex Garland in cynical, we're-all-fucked shocker. I enjoyed it, even though you could spend all day poking legitimate holes in it. It's really not all that different than the Garland-scripted 28 Days Later, or the general plotline of the "zombie" genre: a small group of people travels from place to place, finding that when society has devolved to the point that there are plausibly no repercussions for actions, every day is a potential random brush with violence or death.
