I feel like this was a bit of an… unwise choice to begin watching Tarkovsky with. From what I’ve gathered, this is a semi-autobiographical, densely layered artistic statement, and is, by all accounts, his most “difficult” film.
So, of course, I decided to jump head-first into it with no prior knowledge of any other Tarkovsky films!
