Jackie Brown seems to fly under the radar when looking at Quentin Tarantino's catalogue. But this cat&mouse crime dramedy is a lot of fun.
Pam Greer nails the role as the titular character. She is crafty, she is sly and she kept me guessing the whole time. Which says as much about the writing as it does about the performance.
But Greer lends a nuanced balance of confidence and vulnerability to the role: She knows she's clever enough for her…

Another favorite of mine. Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft shine together. A fascinating examination of how a young, despondent man can be manipulated by someone older whose own despondency has grown into a vague resentment and disregard for the societal parameters that put her in a loveless marriage.

Solid movie. Really fun, Especially if you're already into Sci-Fi genre. I know Frank Herbert's iconic novel stands tall in the Sci-Fi world. But having not read the book myself, I can only imagine that the movie has done justice for the source material. As a movie, I don't think it deserved SO MUCH hype. And it seems like we, the audience, are being asked to wait for the 'real story' to begin. The sequels will determine whether this new movie adaptation was worth the effort. Still, its worth a watch if you already like this sort of thing.

One of my favorite movies. All-star cast. Consummate performances from Leo, Jack, and Matt. Jack Nicholson Nails his role as mob-boss Frank Costello. He was born to play this role!

It has all the drama, thrill, and intrigue of a Greek drama. Truly Shakespearean.
