  sometimes i don't know if fassbinder really is aware of his shit. i get it, he's pessimistic about love and marriage, no matter the circumstance.

  and why should i care here? there is nothing to care about. it feels like one hour and a half of wasted potential. petra is a frustrated widow who was abused, thus she can't form long-term connections without her influence and past. likewise, she has to possess someone to truly feel love...?

  and? that's it? what's his point going on like this? none? come on.

  Cure lulls the viewer towards its uneasy (or frustrating) atmosphere, managing to do so with very little suspense and few resources. Until it reaches...some sort of catharsis that doesn't stray far from what's been shown.

  not much else, though. it's barely decent.
