  There’s a lot I love about this from the sci fi setting to the delightful humor. But the thing that kind of soured it for me was the choice to make mark ruffalos character a wall to wall caricature of Trump. Sure it was funny at the first scene, but it never changed. And it just wasn’t a joy to watch his performance of not much at all.

  I mean fuck off. I’m certainly in the minority of those who hated this movie and maybe that’s because I don’t have connection to it personally, but this movie I imagine was an attempt at being shot and portrayed as “honest” and “real.” Didn’t work for me, not that I wish it was overly dramatized, I simply wish it was just simply dramatized.
