Maybe Parthenope is another autobiographical film by and about Sorrentino. Just this time he imagines what it would be like as a woman growing up in Napels. But he doesn’t hit the nail on it’s head with this one. Still some beautiful scenes in it and entertaining throughout but tone it down with the creepiness and improve the pacing.

I was sucked up in the story for the full 219 minutes. I don’t think I have seen a film this beautifully shot in a long long time. The Vistavision in combination with seeing it on 70mm at Eye made this an immersive and amazing experience. Also the score and acting performances were outstanding.
The intermission also suits the film. I felt reloaded and was with my focus straight back into the film when it restarted. It truly felt…
The funniest and most disturbing Lynch at the same time. Also love all the discussions about shit beer brands (yes the ones mentioned are all shit). And Dennis Hopper is great cause he just gets to relive his rage-guns-drug fuelled 60s.
