A film so offensively chaotic, I had to pause it to keep from dying of a brain aneurysm. Then I realized there was still 2 hours and 20 minutes left. I accepted my fate and unpaused. My vision went red. The sound was that of a million infinite screams, layered, all frequencies ripping through time. My bones shattered, one after another. Insects swam through the pink-grey slime that oozed from my obliterated skull. Each second, a new millennium. The taste…

Adaptation. 2002
I accidentally coupled this with a reading of Thomas Ligotti's "The Conspiracy Against the Human Race," specifically the section on depression, which I had read just prior to watching this film.
That passage discusses the pyschophysiological effect that depression has on our ability to be emotionally excited by anything around us. Nothing in our world inherently has meaning. Green Room 2015
Felt like a good time to watch some punks kill a bunch of nazis. How is this movie already a decade old?

Brainscan 1994
I had to come back and bump this up to a 4. Monster Mash 2024
Jesus Christ, I haven't laughed this hard in years. Incredible film. Absolute crap, but what a picture. The type of film that Nicole Kidman should be preparing you for in her AMC pre-show commercial. In the absence of the Dark Universe we were promised, this will do just fine. Please make more.

Metallica: 72 Seasons - Global Premiere 2023
Incredible album. Some of the visuals were a bit goofy and didn't fit the vibe, but it's about the music, right?
72 Seasons is pure energy, pure emotion. It doesn't let up until we hear the first clean guitar in the last half of the last song. And Inomarata will go down as the song of the album, and probably one of the best they've ever written. It's a hell of a statement to make when you're turning 60 and still putting out something this good.
