He was not getting a not guilty verdict so I’m glad about that that they didn’t give the cliche not guilty verdict and happy ending.
Heartbreaking ending but very profound, clearly a movie that has a lot to say about parenthood and relationships between parents and their children.
Duvall got a well deserved Oscar for this performance but Downey carried the movie as the lead with all the charisma he usually does.
Worth a watch but don’t watch it if you’re not in the mood to get emotional

The Fall Guy 2024
Pretty meta commentary on movie making and there were some corny moments but overall I had a really enjoyable time watching. I’ll forgive most of the corny moments though because it’s simultaneously a great movie with a great plot and also a film about movie making. Super fun, super full of heart, and you can tell the people making the movie had a lot of pride in their profession (made and directed by a former stuntman).
Ryan gosling is excellent…
