Narratively, did this fully make sense? I’m not sure. Butttt, the cinematography, the acting performances, Nicholas Cage as Longlegs, the camera angles, the full screen to widescreen switching, the editing were all incredible.
So so creepy - once again showing the best horror films aren’t filled with jump scares, just an underlying horrifying feeling that creeps up on you throughout the movie.

Blitz 2024
Cinematically epic and beautiful (if not horrific). The storytelling aspect was enchanting. Such a new and different take on the Blitz - told from the perspective of a young black boy trying to find his way home. Can’t believe this is Elliot Heffernen’s film debut! I felt every feeling he felt. Saiorse Ronan is amazing as always.
I am still trying to work out why Harris Dickinson was there though. It’s like he was supposed to have more scenes and dialogue, but they decided cut these out in the edit…

Sweet Bobby: My Catfish Nightmare 2024
Disappointing that so many of these reviews are victim blaming and shaming. But I guess it shows all the stigma that exists around catfishing. As a doc, this was fairly well told but the Guardian podcast is way better. If they wanted to produce another form of media about this story, I would have preferred for them to deliver some new information.
