The Young Girls of Rochefort 1967
one of the most aesthetically pleasing, visually stunning films i have ever seen! absolutely mesmerizing in every way. the color palette, the wardrobe, the choreography, the score, the songs, the cinematography, the set design, the screenplay, the performances, just everything about it was perfect to me! such a light-hearted, feel-good, beautiful movie! cannot praise it enough!

The Sound of Music 1965
liesl bestie, i’d be less concerned with the fact that you are now 16 going on 17 and more worried that your boyfriend is a literal nazi

The Red Shoes 1948
the orchestration, the choreography, the costumes, the set design, the colors, the cinematography wow i don’t even know where to begin. this film has it all and its hard to process that it was made in the 40s!! like everything is so crisp and beautiful and ahead of its time. the 20 minute dance sequence in the middle was phenomenal i could watch it over and over. i love everything about this film. a new favorite for sure! i hate that it took me so long to finally watch it

Rosemary's Baby 1968
i knew a lot about this film before going in but what makes it so much more sick and unsettling is that roman polanski directed it and clearly named the most evil character after himself. shit i’ve seen a lot of films like this but something about this one struck a cord. the slow beginning to the spiraling and realization after realization just had me so disturbed and feeling so much empathy for rosemary. whether or not you believe in…

Suspiria 1977
the cinematography, the score, the colors, the set design, the over dramatic state of it all. so beautifully haunting, couldn’t look away. soo different from suspiria (2018) hard to even compare the 2 they’re just each on a different level. i loved this so much, it wasn’t anywhere nearly as scary to me as the 2018 remake, so if you’re looking for more of an unsettling & graphic film i would go for the luca’s remake which i also love. but nevertheless i enjoyed this film & pretty much everything about it!
