I watched this some time ago now but never got to log because I couldn't find the quotes I wanted to include. Going to have to rewatch this one. As much as I want to hate it, it was truly a masterpiece.

These are the CUTEST, most well-behaved, emotionally capable children ever. Japan is so awesome. They are doing everything right. This actually made me cry. They are SO kind to one another. Even though the music teacher was mean at times all the other students show so much compassion and the real teacher was so wise. This was the sweetest thing I have ever seen.

Saltburn 2023
Overall this film fell pretty in the middle of the spectrum for me. Definitely, not all it was chalked up to be. I thought the characters were underdeveloped and the plot was a bit lacking. Seems like a wanna be/worse version than Parasite in terms of the prevalent class theme. Also, a bit too long which left for some dead time which could have instead made the film shorter and more concise, or given unused room to expand on characters…
