Beetlejuice Beetlejuice 2024
Fantastic sequel, capturing the same comedic tone as the first without feeling like a rehash. The world building was organic and added to the already campy world. The only criticism I can think of is that the film tried to juggle too many antagonists which detracted from screentime that other characters could’ve benefited from. Overall a worthy addition to anyone’s Halloween marathon!

The Prince of Egypt 1998
Fantastic animation, great drama. Though the conflict could’ve been way more compelling if they didn’t stick to the source material. Like it felt bizarre to cheer for the slaves’ escape from bondage right after their god, Yahweh executed order 66. Also the movie being a musical just added to the weird feeling, post child cleansing.

Glass Onion 2022
Absolutely loved every second of this film. And while it wasn’t an instant classic like the first Knives Out movie, I definitely preferred Benoit’s chemistry with Helen Brand over Marta, as well as Daniel Craig’s hilarious and explosive delivery towards Edward Norton’s character. Not to mention how iconic Janelle Monae was with playing 2 very distinct roles. Overall smart, witty and dumb fun.
