Boy oh boy, are we not worthy of Nicole Kidman. It’s crazy how a working Academy Award winning actress still seems to be underrated with all of the work she continues to churn out. This is her at her best. Sexy, inappropriate and a little uncomfortable. It gets tense but never dives off the deep end to become another forgettable thriller about the dynamics of sex, marriage and power dynamics. Perfect use of George Michael’s “Father Figure”.

Funny (dry, not HAHAHA) and chaotic. It has all of the ingredients I like: sharp writing, shaky/tense camera work and excellent portrayals of iconic individuals. I’m not sure this movie would appeal to anyone who isn’t very interested in SNL and its inception, though.

Definitely the weakest of the trilogy(X reigns supreme) which is disappointing as it has the strongest cast. It feels desperate to be odd and campy when really it’s just all over the place and messy. Relies too much on the “allure” of horror it-girlie Mia Goth and her presence isn’t strong enough to carry that weight. Love the 89s feel - great soundtrack and look. I’m still curious to see what else Ti West gives us in the future.

A really fun watch with such beautiful, badass action sequences. It unfortunately lacks a lot of finesse of its near perfect predecessor. Performance wise, Hemsworth steals the show if you ignore that weird prosthetic they throw on his face that’s more distracting than his hot bod. Anya Taylor-Joy? To quote Immortan Joe: Mediocre!
