nearly perfect coming-of-age movie :’) the message was simple but sweet and presented in such a charming and unique way. megan park going from whiny side character on the secret life of the american teenager to indie director darling is everything to me. also i want to grow up on this lake in canada please!

definitely a good film™️! to me, sometimes the dialogue felt like real people don’t talk like this. but maybe i just surround myself with less neurotic people? i fell asleep during the emotional climax of the film, so this rating may be unfair.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife 2021
watched this randomly on tv the other night and was just laughing laughing laughing the whole time. i loved it! no notes! for context, i haven’t seen the original ghostbusters in 10+ years and i loved both the all-female revival and the force awakens (which seems relevant according to some reviews?). this was silly and fun and everyone is so chill about ghosts and it has paul rudd AKA perfect movie to me. not rating it at this time due to i will give it five stars and ruin my credibility as a budding movie critic.
