the derealization of refusing to examine your identity and living as a facsimile of yourself….the horror of a life unlived….this worked sooooo well for me (jack haven’s monologue…no words!!!!) except for when they had phoebe bridgers at the bronze — unless that was fully intended to take me out of the movie, in which case it succeeded. otherwise jane schoenbrun is operating on another level here, so much so that “visionary” feels cheap. buffy the vampire slayer you will always be famous!
