  Ok, I just watched this for the first time and while it's wildly misogynistic and cheesy special effects at times (explosion at the plant), I enjoyed it. I grew up in Houston and remember Gilley's in Pasadena and all the songs were nostalgic. Bud and Sissy! Mostly, I loved Debra Winger as Sissy and Scott Glenn was looking pretty hot in this one (minus the mesh shirt scene).

  I found it so hard to sit through. I'm not an Ethan Hawke fan, but that aside, just boring and so long. Creative concept though.
