    Many half cooked ideas

Storylines that could’ve been cut to make it slicker

The introduction of other girl who fancied him was unnecessary too, the oxy drug dealing storyline, the wife being obsessed with sauce, the trump character aryan race/handmaids tale hints- all abit all over the place

And the creepers felt like out of place, the look of them

Shoutout to Noott for perfectly summarising my thoughts on Space Trump being “such a thinly veiled political statement without much substance”. When it’s so on the nose, it loses some of its cleverness

    Solid 90 min comedy.

SZA puts in a surprisingly decent performance. Not that she should be shit, but it’s very easy for singers to swing their influence into landing them a role in a film with no credentials to prove they are deserving of such. Cue them then putting on the most dead-behind-the-eyes, stiff performance ever.

I would much sooner watch these two than have to sit through another Kevin Hart buddy comedy, so if that’s the stakes, keep them coming!

‘If Wes Anderson directed Knives Out’ - I’ll say it before anyone else can. Saoirse Ronan the mvp as always.
