  The Woman in the Yard 2025

  I enjoyed this more than I expected for what it ended up being. I would say the first 60% of this movie was brilliant and I loved it. As the resolution started to happen I got confused. Then I’d start to understand and something else would happen and I’m back to being a little thrown. The ending makes you think. It was 100% a different kind of movie than I expected. But it was well-done.

  I really think that marketing of this movie was deceiving. I guess I was hoping for a campy fun horror movie and this wasn’t it. I wanted to enjoy it but it fell flat and took itself too seriously. On top of that it dragged longer than it should have with a really obviously plot.

  I absolutely loved it. It’s a great creature movie that reminds me of old monster movies. Do characters make questionable decisions? Yes! But doesn’t that always happen in horror movies?!  Overall I’m so happy (and a little relieved) at how much I love this!

  Absolutely thoroughly enjoyed this one. Also glad to no longer see the trailer lol. But it was intense! Still surprised me in spots! I loved it! And bravo to James McAvoy. Also to the little boy.
