The Abadanis 1994
One of the most important neorealist films in Iranian cinema, The Abadanis vividly portrays the life and economic concerns of the Iranian people within the war. Ayari’s approach is remarkable, and his work displays a strong cinematic vision. Visually, it is the filmmaker’s best work, with the use of black-and-white imagery and high contrast effectively highlighting the dire economic conditions and the cold relationships between people.

Love in the Afternoon 1972
It’s brilliant. One of the best Parisian movie. A great picture. A deep exploration of the contemporary man in the heart of the bureaucratic system, and the issue of the crisis of love, commitment and his fantasies. Like a miner, Eric Rohmer penetrated into the depths of a man's soul and depicted his most detailed desires; A strange struggle about whether he has found true love or not which is constantly brought up throughout the film.
