Rebel Without a Cause 1955
a film so great and brave, it’s somehow simultaneously a historical artifact and still ahead of its time. i’m grateful i was able to watch it for the first time when i was 16, when it could so easily and directly still speak to my heart and make total sense. as i grow up it reminds me of the power of sincerity, empathy, and how easy it really is to be loving when that’s all you mean to do. can you believe teenagers never existed before 1955
