Ichi the Killer 2001
I just saw Takashi Miike's 'Ichi the killer", it was brutally violent and cinematically spellbinding. I don't think any filmmaker on planet can showcase violence as cinematically as Mikke: the aesthetics, narrative convergence and unique gore display .My reaction after watching movie was "wtf did I witness?", one of the best cinematic experiences of my life.
I'm gonna explore Miike's filmography, this movie was adapted from manga with same title.

Pulse 2001 directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa is atmospherically unsettling and mildly spooky.
Story revolves around sudden and inexplicable suicides of citizens in Tokyo, the victims were approached by internet ghost and are driven towards a forbidden room with red tape. You gotta watch movie to know why ghosts are after citizens.
I believe Pulse is a satirical allegory, representing mundane and lonesome lives of City, how loneliness can get into one's psyche and the deadly consequences of losing human connections.…

La Cucaracha 1959(The Soldiers of Pancho Villa) is directed by Ismael Rodriguez, the story revolves around La Cucaracha(Refugi) and her relationship with Colonel Zeta. She's hopelessly in love with him; and he parts his way with her but she's unwilling to move on. Colonel Zeta is interested in recently widowed woman called Isabel, their relationship affects Refugi tragically.
