  Paired nicely with an airplane dinner and a paper cup of South Africa’s finest. Truly enjoyable and emotional film, got me thinking etc, but I also can’t believe Kieran Culkin won the Oscar for this. Or I guess i can but it feels random

  Wish I could watch this in a theater for the first time every day. This is what I wish knives out was. the stakes of the movie were actually apocalyptically high but it always stayed directly on the characters which made it so much more interesting. Sort of le carre esque; maybe a little bit less realpolitik and more idealistic, even though it wasn’t totally uncynical. well that was awesome. I love leaving a theater with a huge grin on my face

  Not to be like “they don’t make ‘em like this anymore” but they really don’t. Even though this is a giant Disney blockbuster it feels like so much thought and care went into everything from the fight choreography to the production design to the dialogue. The CGI looks great 15 years later
