The Wind Rises 2013
one of the best ghibli movies!! imo it’s the most heartwarming yet heartbreaking one out there, more so than spirited away for me. it’s one of the most romance-heavy and realistic ghibli films, and i think that’s what makes it so special and touching.

truly one of the most beautiful sets and aesthetics in bollywood. the only reason why people hate on it so much is because it’s so ‘cliche’, but that’s the whole point of bollywood…? i love the cliche-ness of the film.
speaks and illustrates the truth for a lot of muslims before partition, and doesn’t paint muslims to be villainous and evil like literally every other bollywood film does. the bare minimum, but i love it.

every single time i rewatch chungking express, i notice something new. this time, it was the bridge between the pineapple and it’s expiration dates with the change on the dates of the boarding pass, and how they both mark ends and beginnings of the two stories. this film is genuinely one of the best films i’ve ever seen. the music, the acting, the cinematography, the colours… i love this film so much. it’s such a bittersweet film,,,, AAAAGHHGG i just love it
