Mr. Hunham reminds me so much of my high school chemistry teacher. Like same mannerisms and smartass remarks down to a tee. He just recently passed away unexpectedly last winter. Can’t say I wish I spent a whole winter break with him, but this felt like getting a chance to catch up. Miss ya Pyro Guy.

Can’t have shit in Rome
I did NOT expect to fw this at all, but i do. really solid acting in a pre-Stanislavski-era film (finally), especially from the kid playing Bruno. Also just super compelling to see Antonio’s descent due to the same economic pressures that got his bike stolen in the first place.

Doctor Who: The Church on Ruby Road 2023
I’m so sold on this! The plot was alright, not breathtaking; definitely more in service of the character work in this episode which was so great. Gatwa finds his footing as the Doctor instantly and effortlessly, and him and Ruby work together so well. Ruby herself is sweet, if not maybe a bit too trusting of the Doctor compared to other companions. Everyone else was also great!
The only qualm I have is the musical number. I was definitely worried…
