really pretty cinematography & such a fitting and thoughtful soundtrack. i can see why this movie is so polarising because you really have to pay attention to follow the story - but that’s what i love about the movie. every aspect of the movie, from the set to the characters, felt intentional and had a purpose in order to speak to and touch the audience.

pros:the visuals were amazing! from the set of barbieland to the empty space with ruth, the cinematography and use of colours was clearly carefully crafted. my conclusion: i want to live in a barbie dream house.
the soundtrack!! the variety of artists was so nice to see and really contests to the idea that anyone can be barbie. charlie xcx, dua lipa, nicki minaj + ice spice (to name a few) were perfect for this movie.…
