I understand how people might not be satisfied with the ending, since it wasn't specifically shown Gabo getting help for his pedophilia or own trauma. I think it's supposed to make us disappointed, since most people like Gabo don't end up getting help. Therefore also supposed to make viewers like Gabo feel too, disappointed. To make them not want to end up like that, but to actually get help. To actually face it head on rather than to wait for it to unfold.
Nonetheless they did a great job at making viewers feel uncomfortable. Also the cinematography is just great.
