What Denis Villeneuve has done with Dune part 2 is nothing short of remarkable. I loved the first film but the sequel seems to be an improvement in nearly every aspect. It is an absolute joy to see sci fi filmmaking history being made.

The cinematic and auditory experience is like an attack on your senses but only adds to the immersion. The exceptional world building and scope from the first film has been expanded upon with the introduction…

I was concerned that barbie was never going to match the hype that it was getting, but I was wrong.

Barbie is not scared to put its themes, thoughts and feelings in your face, I absolutely loved that. There are some more nuanced parts here and there and they are done well but barbie at its absolute best is when it puts its message across with such bluntness.

Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling were the perfect casting for these roles.…

A beautiful romance film that captivated me with its dive into the psychology of power dynamics, codependency and control in relationships. Daniel Day Lewis is just phenomenal his ability to really sink into a character is just unparalleled.

I think this maybe my new favourite PTA film.

While this may not be on the same level as Leone’s other Westerns, Duck You Sucker/Fistful of Dynamite might be his most under appreciated film. A revolution centric epic western focusing on moral ambiguity and anti authoritarianism backed with once again another unbelievable Ennio Morricone score, what isn’t to like? James Coburn is also excellent, there’s just something about doomed protagonist trope.

Any film that has me coming out of the cinema instantly wanting to read the source material is top tier in my eyes, i was glued to the screen, grasping at everything this film had to offer.

A sprawling sci-fi epic with scope and ambition like no other film i've seen in 2021 so far. The cast is excellent, i enjoyed a brooding Timothee Chalamet as Paul and Rebecca Ferguson and Oscar Isaac are also stand outs here.

    The technical…

This really is one of the greatest sequels ever made, the way it’s both a sequel and prequel simultaneously is absolutely brilliant. I loved how both story lines contrast each other and manage to keep you engaged, although I did find myself slightly more interested in Vito’s back story and I kind of wish he was given a full prequel film.

I loved De Niro’s take on Vito and seeing his rise to power. I can only imagine how hard…
