After months of attempting to finish watching Normal People I have finally gotten around to the gut wrenching, bittersweet ending to kickstart my 20 hour long trip home from Costa Rica (layovers and flights combined, talk about self sabotage as I suffer vacation withdrawals AND Sally Rooney’s despicably accurate depiction of a true love gone sour). I do have to say that I expected to cry ugly tears, however this did not happen, although I managed to sob on public…

I think I watch this movie at least 3 times a year so here’s to 1/3 for 2025. Mother Gothel you possessive crazy lady holy.
I love this movie and I think I will continue to forever but I can’t help but think of the crazy therapy bill it would cost for Rapunzel after 18 years of being held hostage by a woman who literally loved her for her hair.
P.S. I was never the kid who wanted ponies but Max might be the reason I ever do.
