There are many things to absolutely adore about this movie (great commentary on male sexuality and violence on women and the chilling ending especially) but it does overstay it's welcome and at times could use with tighter editing anf clearer direction.

The Deep End 2001
We had a coin toss with my girlfriend, should we watch Cronenberg's "Dead Ringers" or this. Coin chose this. Worst mistake of our lives. The script is beyond awful and has the subtlety of a ice cream truck blasting it's horns as full. Apart for Tilda Swinton everyone is folding it in. The direction and the production seems very lazy and quality is TV-movie like. First time in a while that Criterion Channel let me down. Next time we are watching "Dead Ringers" to get rid of this awful movie from our brains.
