This movie certainly could've been creepier and more suspenseful. That being said, it's still *pretty* creepy and suspenseful. The plot is fairly original and the story churns along nicely. The acting is good, although two characters (Niko amd Max, I'm looking at you) are annoyingly one-dimensional archetypes. You kind of know what kind of film you're getting into when the synopsis has the phrase "a group of teens" in the first sentence, but this is on the better side of those kinds of films.

I'm not sure why so many people are trashing this film. It is a slow-burn, eerie, and well-paced. I enjoyed how I didn't quite know what was happening -- it was creepy, and it kept my interest. And I sure as hell didn't see the ending coming. There is a definite feminist tone, but without being preachy.

Hope you like watching kids go all dead eyed and screamy and then cause bloody mayhem and then get stabbed on broken shit -- cause that's what you're getting here. It is tense and creepy, though, so I recommend it.

If you like humour with your horror, this is for you. This is just fun, self-aware, and fast-paced.
