I want to scream into a pillow.

(the last fifteen minutes creep up and then sucker punch the ole emotions. the dynamics of the three. the couldve beens. the bittersweetness. the way it’s shot. the intimacy.)

I need to run around the block and blast music to holler my heart out to.

my two favorite men from my two favorite shows + heart-wrenching family time travel a la, one of my favorite films, about time… I was toast. intimate, honest, raw, tender, devastating. i’ve been waiting for ages to feel this way about a film in theaters again. so many scenes I cried along side andrew scott without even realizing it. sensational performance as always. and paul and claire were fantastic. a new life favorite. the type of film that makes me remember why I love writing, makes me want to write all night.

I couldn’t help imagining almost all of the roles switched—at least felicity and shailene switching characters—as shailene’s performance didn't quite sell the time period as authentic and the chemistry between felicity and her love interest wasn’t particularly entrancing (their comedic bit felt a bit stunted, as did their lives. what happened to ellie’s fun coworkers?). Where they faltered, however, o’hare’s charisma shined; and despite not having the time to go very deep with the characters and not really being convinced…
