  The little South Asian girl in me wanted to love this, but there was something about this that irked me. I understand the plot as a CBCD (Canadian Born Confused Desi), but the costume design felt like a tragedy to witness. Why would you put the bride’s sister in a corset and a beach-cover up for an engagement of all things. Also, what Indian bride would ever wear something like that TO HER OWN BLOODY WEDDING?!

  You know a rom-com isn’t doing a good job with the romance angle when the main lead has more scenes being friendly with her gay best friend than her male counterpart.
