Hypnotic and dreamy character study of two lonely people. The dialogue feels emotionally honest and human; it deals with heavy topics in a convincing way. It's gentle yet explosive at points. The unpredictability and eccentricity of one of the characters helped build a dream-like atmosphere. It's a movie that resets your expectations for all movies. Stylistically, I was in awe that this was shot in 2000. The trailer on YouTube with "Raining" by Cocco playing is so rewatchable. Let me know if there are movies like this.
