Disgusting but I couldn’t look away. I loved the characters before the fly transformation/body mutation arc started happening. Also, the score was lovely and added the dramatic flair needed at climactic moments.

Bong Joon Ho does it again with a comedic dystopian film with themes of capitalism and exploitation. The style of directing is so distinct and definitely on the lighter, satirical side. Robert Pattinson’s range is incredible and he was perfect for every Mickey variation. Some of the dialogue and characters weren’t the most fleshed out but it didn’t detract from the film. Overall, I had a fun time watching and enjoyed it on the big screen.

    When in Forks…

Washed-out blue color grading is brilliant for the 2000s high school atmosphere. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson give the most awkward performances possible and I love it. The CGI and wildly moving camera make the film so funny, I couldn’t help but laugh.

The added dimension of watching the film where it was set gives it the plus 1/2 stars

Tennis and a love triangle intertwine nicely in this story. I like the little details woven within that give the film a greater feel of authenticity. To be written on spec and be fleshed out with so much star power, is truly impressive for writer Justin Kuritzkes (Potion Seller on YouTube does NOT disappoint).

Luca films have that beautiful, sensual feel to them and this one joins the ranks. The interplay between intense drama and light comedic moments also worked well…
