Rewatching so close to the Oscars & getting mad all over again they really snubbed this masterpiece and Mia Goth’s performance!!!! Almost poetic if you think about it tbh because I also think Pearl ate up her audition she should have got that shit.

I’ve been wanting to watch this back to back with The Shining since first watch so I couldn’t miss this opportunity really. Of course this combo was immaculate I knew it would be!!!
The elevator scene in The Shining is everything and will always be everything but also the ‘mirrored’ Substance scene with Elisasue spraying blood down the overlook inspired carpet hallway…it goes hard enough to rival. I simply must be honest.
I love how this film wears its influence…

So Alice shoots right to the top of creepiest children in cinema & I’m happy this delivered as hard as I was hoping. This weird 70s horror mystery thriller has been on the list forever & is also a film immediately more interesting to me being based/filmed in NJ. I was in love with the look of this & the plethora of religious location/imagery. Even every shot of the killer in their raincoat/mask attire was so visually stunning. Many gritty and uncomfortable moments…

I never went out of my way to see this when it came out because I didn’t understand the point of weaving the Manson tale so heavily into the story and my hot take is I still agree with that after finally viewing. The bloody conclusion won me over a little and I must admit it was a little fun to watch Margaret Qualley and Mikey Madison as Manson girls but overall, no. It was so drawn out I had…

Can my review just be the Ralph Wiggum meme where he’s sitting on the bus like ‘We’re in Danger’ 😃?

Beyond feeling like I was watching a too close for comfort potential of our future this was incredible. Robert Pattinson is impressive in his multiple roles. My fiancé and I were walking out of the theatre talking about how you could tell Mickey 17 & 18 apart simply by looking at them. That can’t be easy to do so seamlessly. I…

    Speechless really
Wonderfully paced and had me in full shock at some points. Seeing Mickey 17 in the theatre finally gave me the kick to go through Bong Joon-ho’s filmography and I’m kicking myself for waiting so long. This guy knows how to carefully weave a message, use every second of runtime with purpose and create characters that feel so real.
