Beautiful Boy 2018
Definitely expected more. The plot is okay but the story doesn't have any sort of progression or development.
The writing feels superficial, static and predictable to the point that the movie left me wondering about what was even the meaning behind it. Why is he doing drugs? How did he manage to stay clean for such a long time? What pushed him into doing drugs again?
What about the girl? What about the father trying drugs? It lacks of conceptual depth. The performance was undoubtedly good and I think that's the only thing that made me feel slightly connected to the characters and the story itself.Translated from by
