    This.

This is possibly the most beautiful piece of short film I’ve ever seen. I’m not exaggerating when I say I was COMPLETELY blown away.

Anyone who looks at this and says it shouldn’t be lumped in with true “films” is completely lost.

I cannot overstate how amazing this work is. Best thing I watched this year.

    Oh my god man.

I saw the reviews, I watched the “video essays” but nothing did this movie justice. It was interstellar.

I was simply not ready for the XXXXXXX oh man. So good.

    Come on then!

How can it be as good as the first?

The first one was good because it was new, it was amazing, it was something we had never seen before. I almost didn't want to watch this, because I knew it couldn’t live up to the high level the first hit.

    BUT

    IT

    DID.

    Damn.

    These folks are good.

    Criticism?

OK, the soundtrack didnt hit as hard. At no point did they slap me with a “What’s up Danger?” Or a “Sunflower.” Otherwise, easily the equal.

Paul Giamatti. I mean damn. But Dominic Sessa, as Angus, was revelatory. What I will say is the handshake between the two of them, carry’s more weight than any I’ve seen before. And that isn’t a unique occurrence in the film. When Da’Vine’s Mary holds Angus’s hand outside the headmasters office. When Hunham does the same for Mary. They just don't make movies like this, and if they do, they are never this good.

This movie really wasn’t what I…

Captured the difficulty of filming such a piece, both physically, and less tangibly, but more emotionally, socially.

So, I saw this movie about two weeks after returning from a tour in Afghanistan. The post apocalyptic world in the film actually frightened me, and had an impact on me a film hasn’t had since I was a kid.

I don’t know that the magic storyline and everything lived up to the hype, but the visuals are really something else, and I often think of this film at seemingly unrelated events.

It has definitely stuck with me.
