Kaurismäki literally makes fun of the audience about time and period and he succeeds in doing so.The film's contrasting color palette, coldness and "boringness" directly describe the subject. Workers' homes are boring, but so are entertainment venues. It bothered me that the concept of boring was introduced into the eyes of the audience. The accident scene perfectly explains how ordinary the accidents experienced by ordinary people are. My favorite scene was the accident scene. Although it may seem similar to Perfect Days at first glance, it is a film that conveys its message more clearly.
