  halfway through i adapted to the non-linear plot and was devastated. a gut wrenching film (literally). a raw depiction of love as it is experienced. i will never recover from this film i think it created a permanent pit in my stomach.

  eggers’ striking portrayal of the classic gothic horror genre cannot compete with the yearning in this film. lovee me a film that uses cannibalistic consumption as a metaphor for desire.
