Thoroughly enjoyable. Meaningfully written characters with convincing and satisfying dialogue. Incredibly heartfelt and a pleasure to watch. emotional for quite a lot of the film but done in a way that is meaningful.
One major problem was near the end, there was a scene in the snow where I just thought the dialogue was rubbish. Apparently its a callback to a previous film, but I don’t care, as it was right at the end of the film, it left a…

Pretty damn trash, I wouldn’t recommend watching. Very formulaic, even through in the obligatory drug scene which was shoehorned in for no real reason and wasn’t really very good.
Particularly rubbish was Dave Franco’s character. Boring, not very funny, I suspect both poorly written and poorly acted.

It is not a half star because of the gratuitous toplessness which was also unnecessary but I was okay with it in the end

Hard to review a film like this, obviously it has quite the legendary status and I’ve rewatched it now almost 40 years down the line. It is a great film, but I do think I’m being generous because of the nostalgia. The pacing is pretty good and the characters are very easy to get invested in. It’s interesting what I did and didn’t remember from when I’d watched it in my childhood, glimpses of scenes had remained but how they…
