Super performances, esp from Culkin. Beyond the central relationship, which is touching and well portrayed, there's not really a lot to this. Too much piano.

Watching this felt like waking from some half remembered dream. I don't understand all of it, but I desperately want to.
So many questions left unanswered like an Italian Indiana jones film noir, which is definitely not a bad thing.

Like a backpack filled with random trick or treats. Lots about this are superb, the casting and acting is top notch, but the pacing, arc and general plot is missing... something to draw it all together more than just a vague-ish notion of what America is. A rare example of something that possibly couldve done with *less* on the cutting room floor...
