  Beautifully made, watched this and listened to the director discuss it after with his crew and watching how each of them poured their soul into this film made it such an authentic experience.
  This is what cinema should feel like, watching my home town inside out like that, most of the scenes happening across the street from the school i grew up in.
  Hassan’s arc being navigating everything alone, in the dark. The cinematography mirroring that, everything about the lighting, the decor, the clothes, not to mention using one of my favorite mounir songs of all time.
  Atef eltayeb would smile at this for sure.

  One of my favorite feminist films i have seen in a while, because these women are not afraid to grapple with life, nor do they want or hope to be sheltered from it.

  Watching Dalva navigate her confusion, rage and find a skin to be in after being taken away from life as she knew it. Dalva displays a way of loving that is her own and ties her own hands both learning and unlearning. Amazing acting
