Moneyball 2011
Didn’t anticipate I could relate to a 40something divorcee wannabe bigshot sports team manager man played by Brad Pitt, but here I am. If you don’t like baseball or sports odds(?) give this movie a chance as it’s unique and bittersweet, with purposeful and understated storytelling. Paradoxically, though I am thoroughly unacquainted with math and sports, I’m unsure if I would even be as interested in this movie, if it revolved around more familiar world.
Inspirational type sports movie done right imo as it doesn’t pound you over the head with cheesy quotes and takeaways. Ok, maybe just a little bit.
