Silver Linings Playbook 2012
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Fun, real, harsh, laughed out loud a couple times, loved all characters but especially De Niro, so lovely to see him play, also loved how the tensions came to a height at the big game. Loved also the reveal of the brother’s character as a (layered) jerk.
Only thing that felt a bit unrealistic to me is that Pat seems to get better/happy/“sane”/in love just a little too rapidly for me. The ending is a bit “all good” when that’s just not realistic with just how intense he was acting right before.
Great movie anyway, totally recommend a watch

Beautiful Beings 2022
This movie absolutely wrecked me. I left the cinema not knowing what to do with myself. The one scene would be even worse than the one before. It was so touching, so full of pain. I held on for dear life until the moments of warmth where I felt like I could breathe again. The movie’s effect on me was visceral.
