Too many dumb choices made by the main characters that have you on the edge of your seat, but begging for them to not be so stupid and just make a rational decision. The mom, dad, and daughter are insufferable and had me not caring about what happened to them right up to the very end of the movie. I wish more characters had a “redemption moment,” but the ending falls flat because again, I don’t care about any of them.
James McAvoy, as usual, plays an incredible psychopath.
Genuinely one of the best movies ever made, made me choked up at the end this year. This is the first time we watched it in color, which I didn’t even know was available.
Dune Part Two was an absolute masterpiece that brought the concepts of the book to life in a way that I haven’t seen in a very long time. This labor of love and willingness to make delays in order to ship a completely finished product is the lifeblood that’s missing from so many movies these days and was a COMPLETE breath of fresh air.
